Apple to unveil new Mac Mini at Macworld?

December 16, 2008 by Insider Staff · Leave a Comment

Apple Mac Mini
What with the likes of the Asus Eee Box popping up, the mini computer market is hotting up like a potato in a fire. That’s probably why we’re hearing all sorts about a new Mac Mini surfacing at the upcoming Macworld.

According to Wired the new Mac Mini will be dressed in the aluminium clothing that’s currently being worn by MacBooks and MacBook Pros. The budget S500 option will likely cost about 400 big ones, packing in 2GB of RAM that’ll be expandable to 4GB, a 2.0GHz processor. Plus it looks like it’s getting a 160GB hard drive for storing all your important, ahem, specialoist movies.

The souped up model will blow minds with a 2.3GHz processor and the same Nvidia graphics card that’s in the new Apple notebooks, making it a machine that gamers won’t completely hate. All of that will probably an extra £200 on the price.

Whether all this is just hearsay will be revealed soon, but it looks almost certain now that we’ll be getting a new Mac Mini at Macworld.
