Nintendo DSi launching worldwide?
January 15, 2009 by Insider Staff · 1 Comment
DSi. Sounds like a glossy American TV crime drama with amazingly good-looking investigators and more spin-offs than a dodgy vinyl player. It’s actually the latest version of the Nintendo DS, currently only available in Japan, but according to the latest rumours it could soon be about to launch worldwide!
According to IGN, Nintendo is preparing to launch the DSi in the States for around $180. There’s no official word from Ninty, but that would make it around £125 in the UK, which is a more than believable price tag, given that the Japanese currently get it for about £100.
The DSi is essentially a maxed-up version of the Nintendo DS, packing in a souped-up screen, SD card slot and a built-in camera. Like we said, Nintendo is staying tight-lipped over the DSi’s release outside of Japan, but if reports are to be believed, we could be seeing it on these shores soon. Right, we’re off to watch some CSi episodes on Blu-ray. What? They’re extremely good-looking!

It’s an update rather than a new device, but features including an integrated 3.2 megapixel camera say otherwise. …continue reading Nintendo DSi announced with dual touch and camera!
