HTC Magic delayed to May 5

April 21, 2009 by Insider Staff · Leave a Comment

HTC MagicThe HTC Magic has had more delays than a train from Lewisham to London (trust us, that’s a lot), and now it’s had another one. That’s right, the second Google phone, won’t be on sale now until May 5. Luckily, you can pre-order your handset from Vodafone now!

The HTC Magic, going on sale with Vodafone, is the sequel to the first Android phone – the T-Mobile G1. The Magic however, eschews the slide-out keypad the G1 had in favour of just a touchscreen. Luckily, said touchscreen will support Cupcake, turning it into a sort of touchscreen keyboard – natch!

Contract-wise, Vodafone has a couple of deals up its considerable sleeves. The HTC Magic is available free with contracts £35 per month and above. The £35 contract lasts for two years, including including unlimited mobile internet use, 700 minutes, 250 texts and unlimited calls to landlines or unlimited Vodafone to Vodafone calls. Order the HTC Magic online, you’ll get the same tariff for £30 a month.

We’re pretty excited about the Magic. If only to get our hands on another Android handset. Think we’ll log onto Vodafone’s website now…
