Denon DP-200USB turns vinyl to MP3 in minutes

Music buffs, allow us to introduce you to the Denon-200USB – a turntable that’ll convert your beloved collection of Old Blue Eyes’ vinyls to the altogether more portable format of MP3s, without the need for a pesky PC. That’s right, this sends your vinyls to your USB stick in minutes!

Just whack your USB stick into the USB port of the Denon DP-200USB turntable, press the button and Frank’s finest will be transported from the turntable to the USB stick. The DP-200USB instantly converts any record you play into 192kbps MP3 files for you to whack on your MP3 player.

If you do happen to have a PC, you can then edit and divide the tracks using the Trans Music Converter software. It even uses its Audio Waveform Recognition skills to identify the tracks and tag them with meta-data from the Gracenote database.

And how much are the clever bods at Denon expecting us to pay for the Denon-200USB? A reasonable £200. A fairly affordable way, then, for converting your old vinyl library into digital data. Nice.
