Riiflex weights: like Wii Fit gone extreme
April 8, 2009 by Insider Staff
If you like Wii Fit but don’t think its balance board-centric activities are really doing it for you in the muscle-boosting department, take a gander at the latest Wii accessory to emerge Stateside.
Riiflex has designed two sets of dumbbells that attach to Nintendo’s Wii Remote and Nunchuck controllers. Green weights each add 2lbs, while the blue weights add 4lbs apiece – so every time you engage in a spot of wand-waving Wii gaming you’re building your muscles at the same time.
Launching in the summer, Riiflex’s weights could have the puniest gamer looking as burly as Vin Diesel in no time. Word of warning, though: take them off before starting a game of Wii Tennis. We don’t think swinging heavy blunt objects around the living room is a good idea when having a virtual knockabout with Auntie Marge and Uncle Bill.
