Sony Ericsson W205 – the Walkman phone for the masses

April 7, 2009 by Insider Staff

Sony Ericsson W205Sony Ericsson has introduced a spanking new Walkman phone destined for a credit crunch-friendly price tag. The W205 is heading for the budget end of the market this summer, and will feature some of the best aspects of pricier Walkman phones, such as FM radio, the clever TrackID music identification service and naturally Sony’s celebrated Walkman player software.

The slider phone will also feature a 1.3-megapixel camera and Bluetooth (not of the stereo variety, sadly), and will be launched alongside a new miniature speaker called the MS410. This acts as a stand and speaker in one, works with all Sony Ericsson’s Walkman handsets and features a built-in FM antenna. It’ll be available before the W205, but Sony Ericsson has yet to announce a price.
