HTC Magic happening on May 1

April 3, 2009 by Insider Staff

HTC MagicRemember the HTC Magic? The snazzy white, follow-up to HTC’s first Google Android-toting mobile, the T-mobile G1? Well, HTC’s finally announced a date we’ll be able to get our greedy, little mitts on them – May 1.

It was initially thought that the HTC Magic would miraculously appear on our shelves this month, but it appeared to have vanished, like a second-rate magician. Now, however, HTC has confirmed that it’ll be pulling the Magic out of its tech-top hat and putting it on shelves in less than a month.

Why are we so excited? Well, for starters it’s got that awesome Google Android OS. Secondly it looks awesome. And thirdly its packing some awesome features. Did we mention we think it’s awesome? So, what are those features? Well, It has a full touchscreen, GPS, HSDPA and of course Google Android. All the goodness of the G1, without its ghastly looks.

The really great news, though, is the price. Vodafone will be “selling” the HTC Magic for “free” on a £25 a month contract. Now that’s magic!
