MSI Wind U115 Hybrid arriving May!
April 3, 2009 by Insider Staff
MSI, that’s MSI not MFI the furniture shop, has just revealed details for the release of its much-anticipated netbook, the Wind U115 Hybrid. Why so anticipated? Well, the U115 has got plenty of wind in its sails, blowing for no less than 12 hours!
MSI has said that the U115 hybrid will be blowing into these shores in May for a not unreasonable £499. We say not unreasonable because this netbook has been kitted out with a dual storage solution called Hybrid Storage Solution (hence the netbook’s name), which teams up a 160GB hard drive with 8GB of solid state storage. It’s only when you disable the hard drive, though, that you can get that coveted 12 hour battery life.
Think we’re just spouting hot air? Then consider that the Wind also has 1GB of memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a 4-in-1 card reader, three USB ports, Windows XP and the Intel Menlow platform. We can’t wait to get Wind. Ahem. Wind U115 Hybrid that is.
