LG GD900 gets gesture recognition!

It appears the LG GD900 is more than just a pretty fascia. LG has just confirmed that its transparent mobile phone will come with multitouch and gesture recognition, and not only that, but we’ll be able to get our dirty mitts on it as soon as this May.

So what exactly is gesture recognition? Well, not as you might think, an Italian mode. It is, in fact, a way for users to to configure their favourite shortcuts using the Gesture function. For example, you could swipe an ‘M’ on the touchpad and it’ll activate your music player. Sounds nifty.

And the skills don’t end there. Unlike step-over king Cristiano Ronaldo, the LG GD900 is no one-trick pony. No siree. You see that see-through touchpad will also support multitouch. It’ll also convert into a sort of touch wheel so you can control the music player, a little like the touch wheel you’d find on an iPod.

The last bit of tasty news we’ve got for you regarding the LG GD900 is that it’ll be using the new S-Class interface that appeared on the LG Arena. Oh, and that screen… it’s a full-on touchscreen. Drooling yet? We certainly are. Anyone got a bib?
