iPhone 3.0 Software
As promised, Apple has given the low down on all the changes coming to the iPhone in the near future. iPhone 3.0 software is the third major revision to the handset’s operating system and it’s one that promises to leave iPhone owners grinning from ear to ear.

Apple is bringing in a number of changes that iPhone fans have been clamouring for. Cut, copy and paste – a feature that has been requested almost since day one – is at the top of the agenda. MMS messaging is in, at last. The knackered Bluetooth system is soon be upgraded to proper Stereo A2DP Bluetooth too.

And there’s more: iPhone 3.0 software will enable 3G tethering to let your iPhone act as a modem, you’ll be able to use a landscape keyboard on Mail, SMS and Notes, and Spotlight searches are being upgraded to include all the information on your device. The list goes on.

You’ll have to wait until the summer to get your mitts on these brand new features. iPhone and iPhone 3G owners will get the upgrade free, but iPod Touch users will be asked to pay $10 for the new software.
