Xbox Live Gold membership gets price-drop

Listen up, Xbox 360 owners! If you’re considering renewing your Gold Xbox Live membership, or grabbing it for the first time, you might want to take advantage of a new offer that snips £5 off the regular price.

For a non-specified “limited time”, a 12-month subscription to the premium Xbox Live service is priced at £34.99 rather than the usual £39.99. Gold membership entitles users to play multiplayer games online, as well as download certain content earlier than free Silver members.

The offer is only available through the Xbox 360 dashboard. Of course, thrifty gamers may be aware that it’s possible to get 12 or even 13-month subscriptions for less than £35. All it takes is a bit of online shopping around.
