Spectrus takes USB hubs to beautiful new heights

We thought we’d never write these words, but look at this gorgeous USB hub. Dubbed Spectrus, it’s a stylish prism-shaped piece of PC kit that would look the part on any desktop.

Fresh from the drawing boards of Russian design house Art Lebedev and apparently taking its visual cues from the cover of Pink Floyd’s seminal album Dark Side of the Moon, Spectrus shows a beam of white light (i.e. a white USB cable) being split into seven colours (i.e. seven more USB cables).

To get the full effect you’ll have to invest in just the right coloured cables, but fear not if you don’t have a rainbow coalition of wiring in your bottom drawer – built-in lighting will at least provide some measure of prismatic awesomeness to the hub.

No price or release date is yet confirmed.
