Sony Ericsson unveils 12-megapixel Idou phone!

February 16, 2009 by Insider Staff

Sony Ericsson IdouThe Sony Ericsson Idou looks set to rise to the top of the current cream of camera-phones. Why, you ask. And we tell you that it’s because the Idou is a mobile phone with a whopping 12.1-megapixel sensor – that’s bigger than a lot of DSLR cameras.

Taking top-quality pap-snaps of Amy Winehouse coming out of the loo will now be easier than ever, thanks to the Idou’s massive megapixel count stored in that slender body. It’s also got a 3.5-inch, 16:9 touchscreen that has a touch interface that runs Symbian Foundation, so it won’t be as sluggish as a slug farm on a moist day, which in turn means it won’t need multiple jabs before it starts working (unlike us).

It’ll undoubtedly pack all of the usual Sony Ericsson mobile phone gubbinry, packing in a music player, games, et al, but the big news here is the whopping 12-megapixel sensor.

The Idou then looks set to be more than just a rival to your compact camera, so when can you get your hands on it? Sony Ericsson has told us June, but you can be sure that we’ll have more details before then. And as soon as we have them, you’ll have them. Capisce?
