Asus Eee PC price rises on the way…
February 10, 2009 by Insider Staff
The Asus Eee PC will soon be losing its minuscule price tag! That’s the unwelcome news coming out of Asus today, with the whole range of miniature PCs witnessing an increase of as much as 20 per cent!
Okay, that may sound more as a per cent than when it’s translated into real money terms, but in these strenuous economic climes any price hike is about as welcome as kick in the unmentionables. According to Asus the range will be getting the increase from March, citing the current economic crisis and the cost of computer components as the reason for the rise.
With so many netbooks popping up at the moment giving an impression of a booming market, this comes as somewhat of a surprise. Still, at least the Eees are raching Sony VAIO P prices! But if you’re thinking of snaffling up one of the new Asus Eee PC 1000 HE models, you’d better do it quick, before Mr Asus implements his new prices!
