Optoma launches £3k ThemeScene HD92 projector

February 5, 2009 by Insider Staff

Optoma ThemeScene HD92Optoma’s latest projector offering, the ThemeScene HD92, is one beast of a beamer, chucking out pictures 150-inches wide from a box that measures just 490×372x194mm. The caveat? It costs three grand!

So, what do you get for your money? A massive, 1080p crystal clear image, for one. No more squinting at your paltry 32-inch LCD telly anymore, with this bad boy around. Optoma has stufed in all its latest gubbinry to develop the imagery, mainly its PureEngine technology, including PureColor and PureDetail.

Then there’s the contrast ratio of 20,000:1 giving you blacks as black as a black hole, or whites as white as the snow that’s barricaded you in this week. And all of this locked away in a sexy black chassis.

Granted it’ll cost the equivalent of a second-hand FIAT Punto on eBay, but does a second-hand Punto give you crystal clear imagery? No, no it doesn’t. We rest our case!
