Nintendo Wii Check-up gives you a medical!

Paranoid about your health but too scared what the doctor will say to you to do anything about it. Fear not. Nintendo Wii may have the answer – and you won’t even have to leave your home or go to some germ-ridden doctor’s waiting room.

The Nintendo Wii Check-up (that’s right, this isn’t a joke) will act as a “well being guidance system between you and a health professional”, without the hassle or embarrassment of having to drop your trousers and cough in front of anyone.

Apparently it’s going to be made in conjunction with those pioneers of medical kit, erm, Hitachi, Panasonic and a health insurance company. As with most of the Wii’s lifestyle-friendly products, the Check-up will be open to all members of the family. It’ll be compatible with both Wii Fit and its Balance Board as well as NEC’s mobile phone health platform for checking your progress.

It looks like Nintendo’s efforts to slim down the world’s waistlines is never-ending. Kudos to you Ninty!
