HTC Touch Cruise gets a makeover!

HTC Touch Cruise
HTC has officially announced that it is going to launch an update of the Touch Cruise this Spring. The new handset looks altogether sleeker, sexier and will be the first mobile phone to have HTC Footprints.

As part of the HTC Touch range the HSDPA-toting smartphone will run Windows Mobile 6.1 and come with a 2.8-inch touchscreen – hence the name! Of course, it will use HTC’s TouchFLO tech, which isn’t quite multi-touch, but pretty good nonetheless, allowing you to get really touchy-feely with the product.

HTC has also kitted it out with a 3.2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR, Wi-Fi, assisted GPS and a microSD slot. But the big news here is the addition of Footprints, which allows you put notes and audio clips on your GOS-tagged “postcards”. There’s even a big Footprints-dedicated button on the front of the phone.

Is this the most awesome GPS-enabled smartphone ever? We’ll find out when we get a hands-on closer to its release in Spring. Bring it on…
