Samsung Android phone coming this year!

January 19, 2009 by Insider Staff

Samsung Android Good news folks, Samsung has announced that it will be launching its very own Android mobile phone, complete with all the bells and whistles that come with Google’s OS. Even better news, it will launch this very year!

If the Chinese could rename this year, it should be the Year of the Android. So many are on their way, we’ve employed the Count from Sesame Street to help us keep track of how many are incoming. So, Count. How many? “One… mwa, ha, ha. Two, mwa, ha, ha. Three…” Okay, er, thanks Count. We haven’t got time for that. Back to the Samsung Android, and a quote features on Newxoxy: “We are accelerating the development process for Google phone in order to meet the specific need of local carriers.”

Good news then. The handset will go on sale through T-Mobile, following on from the original Android (no. not R2-D2) – the G1. It should come packed with all the Google goodness, including Gmail, Google Maps, Google Talk and Google Search. By Google, we can’t wait to see it…
