Dell to release “world’s thinnest laptop”

If we had a pound for every time we heard the phrase “world’s thinnest” or “world’s smallest” we’d probably be richer than a billionaires’ ex-wives club. Well laptop maker Dell, who has never been known for extravagance of design in its notebooks, looks set to release “the world’s thinnest laptop” next year.
Dubbed the “Adamo” it looks set to take on the MacBook Air and Toshiba Portege R600 in the skinny stakes. Seriously, if this could walk it would have to put a coat down just to walk over drains. It’ll supposedly have a solid state drive and come clad in silver and black, but all other details are pretty scarce.
In other sexy laptop news, Dell is also unveiling the XPS 13 (pictured) at CES next month. This little beauty will sit pretty in your laps with a leather-clad backing. Once again specs are hard to come by, but it will have two USB ports, an HDMI socket for Hi-Def wizardry, VGA and Ethernet. All in all it looks pretty sexy in leather – a bit like us!
