Beko DWD4310S Silver
June 4, 2009 by Insider Staff
Beko tends to clean up, if you’ll excuse the pun, at the budget end of the market. So, with higher end spec, but a lower-end price, how does the DWD4310S fare?
Pros
This model from Beko combines a low price with an attractive silver finish and specifications that almost match some of the more expensive Bosch machines we’ve seen. It can take a full 12 place settings, so your dinner parties are safe, and achieves A-ratings across the board. It also boasts water security – a feature that prevents it from flooding your kitchen, which is always nice. Perhaps its best feature, though, is that shiny silver exterior that makes it look like a much more expensive designer model. Call us shallow, but we like our gadgets to look good.
Cons
There are only four presets to choose from and at 15 litres, it has a slightly higher water consumption than its rivals. It’s not quiet either – failing to come in below the acceptable 50dB audio threshold means you’ll be able to hear it thrashing away.
Overall
This is a great price for such a stylish dishwasher. It’s not a brand that commands instant respect, but Beko is a big box-shifter and it means you’re getting a lot of dishwasher for your money. The silver finish looks great and it can still take a full 12-setting load, which it washes without using too much water or energy. Just don’t expect it to run silently or offer as many other features. But hey, at the end of the day, it cleans your plates. And that’s what you want, right?
