Pentax K-m gets a white wash
December 17, 2008 by Insider Staff
Introducing the limited-edition Pentax K-m (also known as the Pentax K2000). It’s exactly the same as the original K-m, but with one tiny difference. It’s white!
That’s right, like a footballer running onto a pitch in white boots, the Pentax K2000 has strutted into the all-black DSLR market in its new white casing. Luckily for Pentax, it’s actually a very good entry-level DSLR camera, so it can just about pull off its new clothes. In the camera itself you get a 10-megapixel sensor, built-in anti-shake, dust-removal, Auto Picture mode and a continuous shooting speed of 3.5fps. Lens-wise you get 18-55mm or, or if you pay a little extra, you can get a 50-200mm lens.
Still, this limited edition is all about the fancy white pants. We suppose the DSLR market did need a bit of livening up, we’re just not sure that white was the way to go. Oh well, at least it’s limited edition.
