Numatic Henry (Xtra) HVR200

July 14, 2009 by Insider Staff

Numatic Henry HVR200 Henry is a familiar face and something of a constant in a shifting sea of floor care products and vacuum cleaners, but is the friendly design all that keeps this sucker from blowing? Find out here…

Pros
The trundle-along design is certainly practical and the round body is robust making it a popular choice for commercial buildings. It’s up to you whether you apply the smiley face stickers or not. It might not improve his suction, but who can resist such a cheery-looking chap? Henry has enough power to extract dog hairs from carpets and the bag can hold a lot of fluff before it needs replacing.
Cons
The cylinder design means a bit more bending over than you would with an upright, but that’s the only downside given the surprisingly low price you’ll find Henry going for on PriceRunner.
Overall
It has become a classic design and as familiar a sight as Sir Alan Sugar talking about the economy on the news. The cheerful design still stands up to scrutiny, and overall it’s a practical and robust machine with decent suction and a reliable motor.
