Toshiba’s processor-powered ZV tellies make everything HD

November 27, 2008 by Insider Staff

Toshiba ZVDVD upscaling is a great way to get more high-definition content on your TV, but Toshiba’s taken the technology to a whole new level with its ZV series of flatscreens. Plug anything in, from freeview to games consoles, and it’ll push up the picture to lifelike levels effortlessly.

Its HD image imitation skills come from the Cell processor – what powers the PS3 – tucked away inside, and Tosh’s Resolution+ technology. You’ll find three HDMI sockets around the back though for playing Blu-ray proper too when the 42 and 46 inch models are released next month.
