Samsung Q310

July 30, 2009 by Insider Staff

Samsung Q310Samsung’s Q310 comes packing a good reputation but and with lots of features and a dash of style. But can it live up to it’s name?

Pros
Samsung has packed plenty into this compact and lightweight laptop but you never feel as though it’s cramped or crowded. The 13.3-inch Super-TFT screen is sharp and bright and being widescreen it means there is plenty of room for a good-sized keyboard beneath it. The keys feel fantastic, being highly responsive to the touch.

Cons
There is little to fault on this machine, as the build quality and performance are great for the price. The dedicated Nvidia GeForce 9200M GS lacks real clout for gaming but you’ll be fine if you’re just editing photos or short movie clips and uploading them to YouTube.

Overall
At the top of our price budget, the Q310 manages to pack in a wide range of cutting-edge components. However, you won’t feel as though you’re paying over the odds as this machine delivers on almost every level. The Core 2 Duo P8600 offers state-of-the-art performance and the 4GB of RAM and 320GB of storage space make sure this machine never slows down. Windows Vista Home Premium Edition handles like a dream on this laptop. Add to this a high attention to detail and a battery life that means you can safely work away from mains power for up to four hours and you have an award winning machine.
