Pioneer’s pioneering Blu-ray player
November 12, 2008 by Insider Staff
Sony’s PS3 might be the biggest selling Blu-ray DVD player at the moment, but it’s not the best. If you really want to feel like you’re there, you need the ultimate high-res Blu-ray box out there, the Pioneer BDP-LX08, which handles sound with the same clarity as it does pictures. The BDP-LX08 handles full 1080p resolution Blu-ray movies, and unlike most boxes underneath your TV, it looks every bit as good as what it’s playing. Sound is superb too, with DTS HD Master Audio, Dolby TrueHD audio tech and 7.1 channel output, for when five speakers don’t quite surround you enough. Forget 3D movies – setup already puts you right in the action.
