Zanussi ZWF16581W (white)
November 5, 2008 by Insider Staff
This triple ‘A’ rated washing machine from Zanussi might not have some of the fancy features of other washers, but with clever features to save energy and water it deserves serious inspection. So is it any good?
Pros
Zanussi’s conventional design sticks to the tried and tested formula and uses a single dial to select its 21 washing cycles. If that sounds like rather a lot of options, it does offer distinct programs for particular materials and even one for sports shoes. Its big feature though is Jetsystem+, which uses sensors to identify how much more water, detergent and temperature is needed to finish the wash. It can also detect when it only has a half load.
Cons
There are no new features here, and this makes the Zanussi seem a little steep at this mid-market price. It also looks a little plain.
Overall
The traditional design will fit right into most kitchens and the regular 7kg drum is about right for a two-child family, so Zanussi is playing it safe with this model. Most users will choose the washing cycles they want from the huge selection and ignore the rest, but it should mean that there’s a program for everyone. Jetsystem+ is the clever bit that means you just use the water and energy you need and it’s also what helps bag this machine a triple ‘A’ rating.
