New MacBooks coming today
October 14, 2008 by Insider Staff
It’s only been a month since Apple’s last keynote speech launching the new iPods, but it’s about to change your world again as it unveils a new range of MacBook laptop computers tonight. It’s ultra hush hush as usual, but a few rumours have been gathering steam on the internet.
At the very least, we look likely to see a new MacBook and MacBook Pro. Blu-ray drives seem an obvious addition, while unverified shots of the new Mac suggest it may even include HDMI output for playback on a larger screen. It’s possible though that we may see something completely out there, from a Mac netbook to what’s been dubbed the “Brick”. We’ll bring you details as they break.
Blu-ray?
It wouldn’t be a next-gen laptop if it just had last-gen DVD on board, would it?
High-def heaven?
We don’t know for certain but new slots on the side might mean a HDMI output to play Blu-ray on your TV. Score!
iMac compatibility?
One of the more out there rumours suggests new MacBooks will slot right into the back of iMacs, which if true is either madness or inspired madness.
