Fuss-free satellite TV to any room
March 4, 2008 by Insider Staff
The Devolo dLAN TV streams your satellite television feed to other rooms in the house – all using your mains cables.
Sitting between the dish and your satellite box, this smart gizmo grabs the raw satellite telly feed and, using the mains wiring, makes it available in other rooms in your house.
This means you can get a Sky feed working on a PC in your study, the kids’ bedroom or even the garage, without having to have a Sky installer come round and put in an extra box – clever stuff indeed.

Look, no wires! – Because the TV sat uses mains cabling to shoot the pictures around your house, you don’t need to pull out the power drill to reroute a feed to another room – just plug an adapter into the wall socket.
Works with HD – The system is fully compatible with the broadcast method Sky uses to transmit hi-def pictures, which means if you’ve got Sky HD downstairs you can get an extra slice of glorious hi-def loveliness in the bedroom.
No extra software – You’ll have to use the TV sat with a Windows XP or Vista PC – it won’t go direct to your TV – but Devolo supplies all the software you need to watch shows. No fiddling or downloading required!

This super-cheap Freeview box will add tons of subscription-free digital channels to any TV in your home, and its dinky size means it’s one set-top box that can actually sit on top of a set!
