Sony’s seventy-inch stunner
July 10, 2008 by Insider Staff
If you’re prone to telly envy, then look away now. While you may think your current giant gogglebox is big enough, it will doubtless pale in comparison to Sony’s new monster.
With a side-stretching seventy inches on offer, this Sony KDL-70XBR7 LCD TV isn’t just entering the territory previously reserved for plasma panels, it’s going in and attempting a land grab.
Image processing is performed by the new BRAVIA Engine 2 Pro pixel shifter so you’re guaranteed jaw dropping visuals and as you’d expect from a screen this big it’s 1080p all the way.
Add in the Triluminos three colour LED backlight technology for improved colour purity and Motionflow 120Hz processing for silky smooth playback and you’ve to a big screen superstar.
Top talents
Big is better
If you think a 50in set is just warming up then you’ll be glad to see the last of the end wall of your lounge.
1080p-tastic
Still thinking you can’t see the difference with 1080p? When it’s blown up this big you’ll appreciate those extra pixels.
Three times a charm
The Triluminous backlight uses three colour LEDs for much improved colour clarity.
