Samsung 12MP phone gets a zoom!
September 29, 2009 by Insider Staff
The Samsung 12MP optical zoom camera phone we spied last week just suffered the most telltale leak of all: press material seeping out ahead of schedule. It looks like the Samsung SCH-W880 is heading for release shortly, but where?
This leaked advert for the Samsung 12MP phone with a 3x optical zoom hints at a rapidly approaching launch, and gives us a few more tasty details. We get a better idea of how slim it is, and we now know that the Samsung 12MP optical zoom phone will house a 3.3-inch WVGA AMOLED screen, microSD slot, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth.
Now for the bad news: the Samsung 12MP optical zoom phone advert you see is sporting the “Anycall” logo, Samsung’s South Korean branding, so there’s no guarantee it’ll grace Blighty just yet. That said, Samsung has been pretty quick on getting its phones stuffed with cutting edge hardware, like the Samsung Jet, out in Europe of late, so we’re hoping for a wider release for the Samsung 12MP SCH-W880. Keep it locked for more when it breaks.
