Acer’s high! With the F1…

September 23, 2009 by Insider Staff

acer-f1.jpgThe Acer F1 has been slapped with an official release date, with the Windows Mobile 6.5–packing blower due to drop by 6 October, the same days the Big M’s tasty new OS lands. Read on to see what you can expect.

Acer’s lineup at Mobile World Congress back in February left phone fanatics cold. Fortunately, the Acer F1 is a darn sight better than previous efforts. And now Acer has confirmed tittle tattle that the touchscreen titan will be landing at the same time as Windows Mobile 6.5.

Specs–wise, we’re looking at a massive 3.8–inch screen to match the HTC TouchHD, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processor, which you can find in the Toshiba TG01, a 5MP camera slapped on the back and Wi–Fi to boot.

There’s Bluetooth, a 3.5mm jack and SD support too, with the Acer F1 clocking in around £340. Expect that to be plenty less when you fork out for a contract.
