Leyio goes iPod-friendly
August 14, 2009 by Insider Staff
The Leyio “personal sharing device” will go iPod-friendly with its next firmware update, allowing you to copy music directly from any iPod via a USB cable.
According to a YouTube preview, the early September update will allow a Leyio and iPod to be hooked up via a normal iPod-to-USB cable. You can then browse the iPod’s contents on the Leyio, picking out files you wish to copy over. You can then transfer these files over to your PC.
The ability to swipe 16GB of music off a pal’s iPod is undeniably appealing, and you can then go on to share this with other Leyio users via the gizmo’s trademark wrist-flicking action.
We’re not sure this new development will win the Leyio many fans in the music industry, but it might convince more people to invest in the quirky device.
