Motorola dresses up Android as Blur
August 11, 2009 by Insider Staff
Motorola has clearly seen HTC Sense and Sony Ericsson Rachael and decided it fancies a slice of the tasty customisable interface pie. So it’s coming to the party with its very own Blur Android UI, offering a slew of connected goodies that it hopes will save its phones from obscurity. Read on to find out when you’ll be cooing over a Moto mobile all over again.
It’s over a year since Motorola’s Android plans were unleashed, the mobile maven claiming the Google OS would save its bacon. Fast forward and we’ve not seen a peep. Until now. Plans for Motorola’s Blur Android UI have hit the net, and offer a glimpse of what we can expect from a Motorola Android phone.
Word is the new Blur Android UI will rock a similar style to the Palm Pre’s webOS. The idea is to bring together all your regular and social networking contacts in one neat place, with a “heavily web–connected” feel. The interface will apparently be foolproof. It had better be after some of Moto’s previous efforts.
Sadly, there’s still no definite line on when we’ll be seeing Blur Android UI, or a Motorola Android blower for that matter. It’s hoped we’ll be getting one by the end of 2009, but don’t hold your breath gadget fans.
