Neo Geo Stick 2It’s retro a go-go on Wii, with masses of classic games already available and downloadable via it’s online Virtual Console portal. Sure, it was hardcore but the Neo Geo reigned supreme for a while in the arcade gaming stakes, so news that the Neo Geo Stick 2 controller is coming to Wii.

Chunkier than a stack of jumbo Dairy Milks piled up, this fighting stick is a beast, and primed for some serious punishment.

With heaps of top Neo Geo games available, Wii owners have been crying out for a controller that can do them justice. The Wiimote is a brilliant invention, but trying to play Fatal Fury (available for 900 Wii points) with it is like trying to chop down a tree with a toothpick. The Neo Geo Stick 2 copies the unique 80s-style joystick perfectly giving you a hugely unfair advantage in two-player mode.

Top Talents
Fighting – All of the best fighting games, such as Art of Fighting, Fatal Fury and Wild Heroes are being resurrected for the Wii and this controller renders them all addictively playable.
Authentic – The beautifully unfashionable and plasticky design has been recreated exactly with all the original buttons that you’ll remember hammering during those wasted teen years.
Classic – It’s been 15 years since Neo Geo exited the rapidly changing games market and faded from memory, but its status as a classic is assured.

Coming out: TBC

Going up against
Venom Wii Sports Accessory Pack (Wii) - Anyone with Wii Sports can improve their game with an accessory pack, like this turning the Wiimote into a golf club, a tennis racket or a steering wheel.

Madcatz Wireless Sensor Bar (Wii) - If you can’t accommodate the wired sensor bar, this clever alternative will take over using infrared sensors. It chews through batteries though.

Atomic Accessories Utility Combat Pack (Wii) - Turn your harmless Wii controller into a deadly-looking dagger with this accessory pack. Just the ticket we reckon.
