KEF announces KHT2005.3 K1 home cinema
August 4, 2009 by Insider Staff
KEF isn’t the first name you think of when the word “affordable” is bandied about. But the new KEF KHT2005.3 K1 home cinema isn’t up there with the mighty Muon speakers when it comes to price. However, it packs in enough features to turn your front room into your local Odeon. Want to know how much you’ll need to stump up? Then you’d better keep reading.
The KEF KHT2005.3 K1 packs in plenty of treats for home cinema buffs and newbies alike. That means as well as getting the same satellite and centre speakers as the the KEF KHT2005.3, the K1 also comes with KEF’s KUBE–1 subwoofer.
That means you get plenty of meaty bass for music and movies, cranking out a massive 150W that will surely give the neighbours cause for concern if you’re partial to turning things up to 11.
The whole package is out now, for a penny shy of £700. Ok, it’s not recession–friendly. But seeing as the KEF Muon’s cost £70,000, it’s a relative bargain.
