Guitar Hero 5 gets new drum kit!

July 17, 2009 by Insider Staff

Guitar-Hero-5-drumsThat Guitar Hero 5 drum kit we sneaked a peek of last week has gone all official on us. It might not be the monster set up Logitech showed off yesterday, but it’s still a great leap from the plasticky frame of the original Guitar Hero: World Tour skins. Read on to find out just how you can make like Dave Grohl with Guitar Hero 5.

There’s no doubting the new Guitar Hero 5 drum kit makes the original look a bit, well, Fisher Price. The cymbals are now round rather than those shonky crescent efforts and the body’s also been pared down.

The new drum kit’s controls now sit down the front rather than behind the middle two skins. Hopefully you won’t give them a whack when you’re making like a poodle rock god while your pals look on in embarrassment.

With Guitar Hero 5 in line for an autumn release, you can expect to go all Animal from then. Sadly, there’s no price yet, but there’s no chance it’ll hit you for as much as Logitech’s kit, unleashed yesterday.
