Premier league table footie with pub team price tag
April 30, 2008 by Insider Staff
Harvard’s budget wrist-wrecker is rock solid and looks authentically retro, putting it in the top flight of playtime boys toys.
Kick the offside rule out of the park and make sure you’re pockets are full of pennies for the swear jar, because this premier league table footie game gets the blood pumping minus the workout.
The Harvard table sticks to a traditional design, with 22 molded plastic players facing off on a 120cm pitch, boasting the all-important scoring counters behind each goal. The rods are robust telescopic steel and the finish is granite effect. It’s yellow versus blues, but there’s nothing to stop you painting in the Accrington Stanley strip yourself.
Top talents
So solid – The L-shaped legs give this table added stability (no unfair tilting) and the steel poles are also quite strong, so it should hold together during rowdy grudge matches.
New balls please – You are given two balls to start with, but we find that a suitably sized bouncy ball often livens up a friendly match.
Fever pitch – With the teams in 5:3:2 formation and the pitch marked out to FIFA specifications, this is just like the real thing, but without the pitch invasions hopefully.
Best price: £59.99 on 30 April 2008
