Mio Navman Spirit TV gets priced and dated!

June 23, 2009 by Insider Staff

navman spiritThe Mio Navman Spirit TV satnav we got hands-on with a few weeks ago has been boxed up and slapped with a UK pricetag, so read on to find out how much it’ll cost you to get digital TV on your dashboard.

The 7-inch widescreen Mio Navman Spirit V735 with a digital TV tuner inside good for catching Freeview on the move will go on sale from July or £299. The 4.7-inch Mio Navman Spirit V505, which wasn’t on show at the Mio event last month, will park up on shelves at the same time for £229.99.

Both models in the Mio Navman Spirit TV satnav range dole out 3D junction and lane guidance as well as road speed limit data and local search, and pack the ability to browse geotagged photos of POIs en route.

Mio wants to make clear that the Mio Navman Spirit TV satnav isn’t meant to be used to watch telly while you drive though, only for passenger viewing, or when you’re parked up. We hope any truckers planning on picking one up for the long haul take heed of that – Neighbours and motorway speeds can be a deadly combination.
