Goodmans compresses Internet radio into a cube
April 28, 2008 by Insider Staff
Goodmans’ latest box of radio treats is hoping to steal the spot of your old school set-up and woo you with its wireless Internet radio talents.
Part next-gen radio, part micro hi-fi, the Goodmans CD1505WI is a tasty little cube that’s plumping for some serious audio affection.
One of the first brands to extol the virtues of DAB, Goodmans is now among the frontrunners of Internet radio with the new Wi-Fi savvy CD1505WI. It takes the shape of micro hi-fi system with separate stereo speakers and foregoes an FM radio altogether. But this cutback is hardly a compromise considering it sports a CD player, an SD Card slot for playing your MP3s and Internet connectivity for accessing online stations instead.
Top talents
Networking – With Wi-Fi built-in, the CD1505WI can join the wireless network in your home, enabling it to access all of the MP3s on your PC or Mac as well as spew forth the best Internet radio stations.
Memory – The SD Card slot is handy for playing music files from a memory card, particularly if your MP3 player or computer happens takes the same format.
CD player – With CD playback on top of everything else, this compact and accomplished cube is looking to oust your hi-fi altogether.
Best price: £119.99 on 28 April 2008
