Sony Ericsson Idou becomes Satio!

May 29, 2009 by Insider Staff

SatioThe Sony Ericsson Satio is the new name for the 12.1-megapixel Sony Ericsson Idou, and it’s shipping this October!

We first saw the handset under the name Idou back at Mobile World Congress, but Sony Ericsson has finally seen fit to drop the codename and flesh it out with a few more details.

As well as the huge camera sensor and Xenon flash, it will sport a 3.5 inch touchscreen and other bells and whistles including GPS, microSD support (Unusual for a Sony Ericsson phone) and of course HSDPA.

The Sony Ericsson Satio will ship from October this year although networks are still up in the air.
