Samsung Pica and Bigfoot Android phones spied
May 12, 2009 by Insider Staff
Samsung just upped its Android game: two new phones, the Samsung Spica and the Samsung BigFoot, have just leaked out to go alongside the Samsung i7500. Read on for all the specs!
According to a hole in Samsung’s bucket, these two new Samsung Android phones, codenamed Spica and BigFoot, will arrive in September along with the Android 2.0 software, Donut.
Aside from the slideout QWERTY keyboard on the latter, the Samsung Spica and BigFoot and Android phones boast nearly identical specs: HSDPA, a 3-inch WVGA screen (A step down from the Samsung i7500’s OLED screen), GPS, Wi-Fi and MicroSD card support.
If true, that’s a sound move from Samsung, as it means that the company will have an Android phone for the high-end and mid-market by year out. Right about the time Acer should be joining the Android party. Right , Acer?
