Vodafone offers free mobile web-browsing… for a day!

April 30, 2009 by Insider Staff

VodafoneVodafone knows the best things in life are free, that’s why it’s offering to all its customers free mobile web-browsing tomorrow. That’s right, this Friday’s not just known as the HTC Magic day anymore, it’s also known as “Freeday” Friday!

So what has prompted this act of generosity from the mobile phone company? Well, it’s actually nothing to do with the release of the HTC Magic. It’s all to do with the latest tariff it’s launching. You see, May 1 is the start date of Vodafone’s new 50p mobile web browsing daily rate. So initiating that with a day’s free browsing is just good business sense. It gets some coverage for the new offer, and keeps the Vodafone customers happy to boot.

So how do you get it? Well, for a start you need to be with Vodafone. Then just hit the Vodafone Live! or browser icon on your phone and surf to your heart’s content – or until the day is over and then you have to start paying!
