Cut the wires with Sony’s Bluetooth headphones
April 28, 2009 by Insider Staff
Sony has just announced the DR-BT100CX and DR-BT101: two sets of Bluetooth headphones with built-in noise-cancelling technology that’ll help you cut out all the usual external rackets such as airplane engines, road works and annoying voices (but not the voices in our head!).
First up, the Sony DR-BT100CX in-ear headphones. These in-ear beauties not only boast the aforementioned noise-cancelling technology, but are designed to work with (nearly) all MP3 players and mobile phones. You charge them via USB, with one burst giving a stamina-inducing eight-hours life. They also come with three different ear bud sizes, so should suit all ear types, from mini-lobed Ronan Keating (he’s got tiny ears!) to the Martin Clunes of this world!
Next on the Bluetooth headphone carousel, the Sony DR-BT101 on-ear headphones. You though the Sony DR-BT100CXs had a long battery life. Well one full charge for these and you’ll get a Heathrow-to-Bangkok-lasting 12 hours!
Both sets of headphones are compatible with A2DP, AVRCP, HFP and HSP Bluetooth profiles, which ultimately means that wires, my friend, are officially a thing of the past!
