Sony Walkman E-Series struts onto the MP3 catwalk!

April 21, 2009 by Insider Staff

Sony Walkman E-SeriesAh, the Sony Walkman E-Series, what a fashion statement. It looks like Sony brought on the guy who invented the USB stick to come up with the design for the NW-E042 (2GB), NW-E043 (4GB) and NW-E044 (8GB). That said, these fun sticks do come with interchangeable fascias!

Okay, dull USB-shaped design aside, why should we sit up and take notice of the Walkman E-Series? Well, firstly, as we’ve already said, each MP3 player ships with a colourful replacement fascia. If that’s ot enough to tempt you in (and why would it be?) then they each come with a three-line colour LCD screen, which is more than the latest Shuffle can say (although, it can actually speak, so…). It also has Sony’s quick-charge feature, getting a three hour charge from a three-minute burst (or 28 hours from 90 minutes).

FM radio and awesome Sony earbuds complete the round-up. The only bad news? They’re currently only available in Japan, starting from around £50. As soon as we get any news of a UK release, though, you’ll be the first to know.
