Shuttle unveils X270V mini PC

April 20, 2009 by Insider Staff

Shuttle X270VHow do you make a box look attractive? Dress it up with a tie, watch and a magazine. At least that’s what Shuttle’s done with the promo shots of its latest mini PC – the X270V.

To be fair to the X270V it’s actually pretty sleek, considering it’s just a box. It’s sheeny piano black styling reminiscent of a killer whale’s black bits actually looks quite classy.

On the inside, Shuttle’s kitted it out the X270V with a 1.6GHz Atom 330 processor to do all the workings-out. There’s also 2GB of RAM to keep things tickety boo. Connection-wise, you get an ethernet port, six-channel audio, plus six USB sockets and VGA/DVI outputs. It’s also touting an SUSE Linux operating system.

All in all a pretty standard box of tricks from Shuttle then, but in these credit crunch times you can’t turn your nose up at credit crunch prices. And the Shuttle X270V has a price of under 300 Euros (about £270). Now that’s what we call beating the crunch.
