Samsung unveils Full-HD projectors

So, you’ve just bought yourself a projector. Well you might want to look away now as Samsung has just announced the arrival of two Full-HD image throwers: the Samsung A800B and A900.

Let’s start with the A800B DLP. It boasts a 1080p output, 10,000:1 contrast ratio (so blacks on your white wall will look black and not grey), 1,000 ANSI Lumens, two HDMI ports and a variety of other ports for you to hook up widgets to. The price? Plenty, thanks for asking. And when we say plenty, we mean $10,000 (or about £8,000).

So what about it’s brother, the A900? Well, a little less is known about this bad boy. We can tell you that it’ll be chucking images via its single HDMI port. Like the A800B, it has 1,000 ANSI lumnes, but outdoes its brother in the contrast ratio stakes with a more-than-respectable 12,000:1 contrast ratio.

The price for the A900 hasn’t been released yet, but if given that the A800B costs a dollar for every bit of contrast, you can expect this to be just as expensive, if not more.
